Kikayou

    About the artist

Born in 1966 in South-Western France, Kikayou is a contemporary artist known for his vibrant, multi-layered compositions. Originally a professional lighting designer, his mastery of light remains central to his work, expressed through delicate washes of collage, spray paint, watercolor, and pastels.

Inspired by Basquiat and the Pop Art movement, his dynamic paintings blend Street and Urban Art with playful nods to comics and posters. What appears chaotic is, in fact, a joyful celebration of life. Kikayou has exhibited widely across France and Europe, with a growing international following—particularly in the United States, London, and Asia, where he is now represented by Gallery des Artistes.
