The Famous Mouse Exhibition

Mickey turned the big 9-0 last November and of course, we’re still celebrating! French contemporary artists Alain Vaissiere and Kikayou’s Mickey Mouse inspired artworks will be showcased here at W Kuala Lumpur for a month starting 14^th March 2019. Vaissiere and Kikayou are represented by Kuala Lumpur-based French art gallery, Gallery des Artistes.

Eleven pieces of art will be on display on the 8^th level of W Kuala Lumpur and are open to the public for viewing. These art pieces pay homage to our favourite rodent we all grew up watching. This exhibition features pieces made out of 3-dimensional lenticular networks, beautifully layered collages and washed art pieces with elements of colour, fun and vibrancy injected into them.

Alain Vaissiere employs a unique art technique known as Lenticular/3D Art, which only the world’s finest are able to master. He delivers a cocktail of colours, imagination, poetry and fun, and all his artwork embody joy and lightness. Kikayou’s Mickey inspired artworks are loved by many, and his love for pop art is evident in the splashes of attention-grabbing colours. Luminaires, collages and canvases done with spray paint and stencils illustrate this fantasy world in line with the painter’s conception of life.
